April 23rd 2011 vigil dog walk

On April 23rd we honoured the lives of the 100 sled dogs that were tragically taken through a vigil memorial dog walk with hopes that stronger animal cruelty laws be put into place.

A special thank you to our acting Mayor & city councillor Charlayne Thornton-Joe who supported our efforts by walking & speaking with us at the Parliament Buildings.

On August 29th, 2010 Your Pet Pals hosted a rescue awareness fundraising event which was another great success!! The weather was fabulous and all of the people were eager to help, making it an amazing day!!

Your Pet Pals decided to put on this event as they were inspired by the many different animal rescue groups that are helping a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, pigs and rodents. Among these dedicated rescue groups, Shut Down Puppy Mills was also invited to join in. This was a great honor and a wonderful opportunity to help raise public awareness of the atrocities of the puppy mill industry.

On July 19, 2009 we held a BBQ, Car Wash and Bottle Drive Fundraiser and it was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thank you to all who came out to support us and a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all our volunteers who came out for the day and helped.  We raised enough funds to keep our billboard standing for another 2 months!!
